Prayerful Praise

“Come, let us sing for joy to the Lord; let us shout aloud to the Rock of our salvation. Let us come before him with thanksgiving and extol him with music and song.” - Psalm 95:1-2

David is thought to be the author of this Psalm, and in it he tells us that we should sing to the Lord with joy and thanksgiving. As we are continuing to pray for the spiritual welfare of our family, this week, we focus on the Psalms that mention praise and worship.

Singing and worshiping with God’s people is such an important example for our children and grandchildren. When we worship the Lord together with the community in our churches, it models for our children a Godly example of giving Him the worship and praise He is due.

We can pray that our children and grandchildren will find out what the joy of the Lord is in their lives and that they will have happy, joy-filled, and thankful hearts in their pursuit and worship of Him.
